I have extensive experience working with the elderly population. My background is in medical social work and have worked in the home health and hospice setting for over 20 years. I understand accessing mental health services can be challenging for all of us, especially the geriatric population due to many reasons including transportation, availability of specialized providers, health issues and stigma. Seniors can experience many challenges which can impact their mental health, including loss of independence, physical challenges, chronic pain, grief, cogntive changes and financial concerns. Prioritizing mental health can help us enjoy life more, stay connected to friends/family and help our overall physical health. I provide mobile mental health services. I will come to patients homes, facilities or provide teletherapy. I believe that happiness is not the absense of problems, but the ability to manage them. My desire is to help the geriatric population through developing a trusting relationship, empowering them to live with purpose, dignity and respect.

I have been providing Christian counseling since 2010. In 2014, I graduated from Logos University with a Master's of Arts in Christian Counseling. In 2018, I graduated from Wichita State University with a Master's of Education in Counseling, and became licensed with the State of Kansas. Life is hard. Yet, I do believe that we have everything available to us that we need to successfully navigate this thing called “life”. Often, the most valuable resource available to us is another person who can walk alongside us, listen to us, cheer us on, and even challenge our thinking at times. I begin most days with the prayer, “God, help me to help people today.” If I may be of help to you, please reach out today.
